Medium: Colored Pencils

Allison starts off with a sketch, using whatever inspiration or references she has. Once she has a solid sketch built, she will “underpaint”. With a marker or watercolor, she will color in the basic shapes, to give herself a base line. Once she has it blocked in, she will move onto the colored pencils. Working in sections, she will build the depth and shading of the piece. When she finishes, she will look over the piece as a whole and give it any finishing details she deems necessary, giving it her signature and it is finished.

Nikki is 19 years old. She’s been drawing ever since she was a child, her grandmother was an artist as well and she got her love for it from her. She started taking her art seriously in the 4th grade, and it’s still her passion to this day.
