At our presentation for the Pickens County Chamber of Commerce, we gave examples and demonstrated the following free tools.

Anyone can use these to promote a business, organization, church, or individual artistry.

Click the name of the tool and you’ll go to the page for it.

The Chamber presentation itself was done with Prezi, which allows you to create presentations that zoom and move around in a nonlinear way. The window at the top of this post will allow you to view the presentation again.

Facebook is one of the leading social media, with 500 million users worldwide. In addition to your personal page, you can create a free page for your organization.

To find the Facebook page for PACA, Pickens Progress and other local groups, just use the Search at the top of the page.

Flickr is a photo-sharing site that has numerous groups and ways to share.

Google requires only a free email account sign-up and offers many free tools, including Google Places for your business, Google Maps, and Google Analytics for your website.

Twitter allows you to broadcast short messages to your followers as well as photos, on the web or by phone text message (SMS).

Weebly lets you create a webpage for free using simple, drag-and-drop tools. Local examples: Jasper ArtFest, BeyondTheMountains.

WordPress allows you to produce a blog for free using a basic, user-friendly interface. Local example:

YouTube gives you a free channel to broadcast your videos.
